In a match that many predicted would decide the destination of the Premier League trophy, we suffered a bruising 2-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium. It was a game of high quality and even higher stakes, but ultimately, City's experience and clinical finishing shone through.
City took the lead early through Rayan Cherki in the 16th minute, a goal that momentarily stunned the travelling Gooners. However, we showed incredible character to respond almost immediately. Just two minutes later, Kai Havertz rose highest to meet a Martin Ødegaard cross, heading home to bring us level. For a while, we looked the more likely team to score again, with Declan Rice dictating the tempo from deep.
Mikel Arteta: "I'm proud of the effort, but in these games, it's about the small margins. We were right in it until the very end, but they took their chance and we didn't capitalize on ours."

The second half was an intense tactical battle. We limited City to few clear-cut openings, but Erling Haaland showed why he's so dangerous, finding a pocket of space in the 65th minute to restore City's lead. We threw everything at them in the closing stages—including a late Gabriel header that flashed just wide—but we couldn't find the equaliser.
The result leaves us trailing in the title race, but if there's one thing this team possesses, it's resilience. There are still games to go, and as we've seen before, this league can take many twists and turns. We battle on.
Man of the Match: Kai Havertz. He was a constant threat in the air and his goal gave us a platform to fight. His versatility and work rate were outstanding on a difficult afternoon.
