Semi-Final Bound: Jobs Done at the Emirates

It wasn't always pretty, but it was effective. A goalless draw at the Emirates against Sporting CP secured our place in the Champions League semi-finals, completing a 1-0 aggregate victory over the Portuguese champions. For the second year running, the Gunners are among the four best teams in Europe.

Following a shock home defeat to Bournemouth over the weekend, there were some nerves in the air at kick-off. However, those were quickly dispelled by a solid defensive display. We controlled the tempo for most of the first half, with Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze causing problems on the wings, though we couldn't find the finishing touch to kill off the tie.

Mikel Arteta: "We knew we had the advantage, and the priority was to be solid and not give them any hope. We handled the pressure well. To reach the semi-finals again is a huge achievement for this group of players."

Sporting threw everything at us in the final twenty minutes, but David Raya stood tall, making two crucial saves to keep the clean sheet intact. The final whistle was met with a roar of relief and celebration from the North London faithful.

The journey continues, and the prize is getting closer. We now turn our attention back to the domestic title race before a massive semi-final clash against Atlético Madrid. This team is building something special.

Man of the Match: Declan Rice. His leadership and positioning were vital in the closing stages, constantly breaking up play and ensuring we never lost our shape.
