Four games, four wins, top of the league. None of it looked likely on 56 minutes at the Stadium of Light, with Ezri Konsa penalised for holding Dan Ballard and Sunderland on the spot with a chance to go in front.
The Save
Enzo Le Fée hit it, and David Raya got a hand to it and turned it onto the post. 
The penalty itself is still being argued about, and Arteta is doing most of the arguing:
"It's unacceptable at this level. Unacceptable. This changes the course of the season, the championship, and it's not acceptable."
"I've seen it 10 times to make sure because I watched it live and I said it's not possible at this level that there's going to be a penalty. I've been in football for almost 27 years, 28 years. It's not a penalty in any case, in any game, in any context, in any league."

Two minutes after the save, Declan Rice found Bruno Guimarães 23 yards out, and Bruno hit it into the top corner off the underside of the bar. His first goal since arriving from Newcastle in the summer, scored in front of the away end in the north east, which he will have enjoyed more than he let on.
Reinildo Mandava was sent off in stoppage time and Bukayo Saka finished from the spot in the seventh added minute to settle it.

On Raya, who is quietly having the best run of his Arsenal career:
"David Raya was unbelievable. He is a player that decides football matches when we need it."
On Bruno:

Bruno scored the goal that won it, but 0-0 becomes 0-1 without the save two minutes earlier, and this becomes a very different evening. Brighton at home on Saturday.
